Another Memorial Day

Having a time of reflection is nothing new. In Biblical times, the children of Israel had times where they reflected on God's goodness. For me, Memorial Day is a time for me to remember those that have gone to be with the Lord. There are so many that I miss. This weekend marks my maternal grandparents' birthdays. Even though they've been gone for several years, I still wish that I could celebrate their birthdays with them like I did so many years ago, but then I remember that God still has something for me to do and I will be content to obey Him until it's my turn to go home. No matter how recent your loss, my prayer is that you feel God's arms around you as you remember your loved one this weekend.
